Gastronomic Cravings: Mann Hann

I so love long talks with friends over dinner. Needless to say, it has been one of my guilty pleasures since I started working.

And so last Wednesday night, I decided to meet my friends to catch-up and satisfy my palate. It was around 8:00 pm when we finally agreed to dine at Mann Hann located at the lower ground floor, Bldg. A of SM Megamall in Mandaluyong. I was surprised that it didn’t take us much time to find a table; more often than not, guests/customers of this branch are asked to wait on the chairs outside for queuing.
Mann Hann is a Chinese fine dining restaurant that offers a wide array of modern cuisines mixed with oriental flavors of Chinese menu.

It’s great to know how most cuisines somehow evolve, get commercialized and be within reach of everyone who wishes to try it.  Although sadly, True and authentic Chinese cuisines can only be found on high end food establishments.

Generally, one of the best things about dining on Chinese restaurants is that most of them serve house tea for FREE. It’s not that I don’t want to spend my precious earnings on that, but c’mon who doesn’t want complimentary items? As they say, “The best things in life are free” and so is the tea. This, a couple of delectable dishes and a good laugh with the company of “sensible” friends is definitely a surefire way to de-stress and unwind. Here’s what we ordered:

 Lechon Macau @275php

  Lotofu in Oyster Sauce @150php

Broccoli Flower in Garlic Oyster Sauce @190php

Roast Chicken @275php

Fried Noodles with Seafood @310php

 Garlic Rice @150php

From top left: Mango Flan, Taho, Mango Cheesecake
Bottom Left: Red Bean Taho, Ube Macapuno, Buko Pandan

MY RATING:
FOOD: 7/10
AMBIANCE: 7/10
SERVICE: 7/10
PRICE: 8/10

Nothing beats a sumptuous dinner infused with a good conversation and laughter with either a family or friend.
